My girlfriend Jenny has been telling me that I stink at keeping ya'll updated. Here I go. Jenny let me know what you think.
A bunch of you might be thinking about what we are up to right now. We are still living, and loving life, here at the Stringer Ranch. God has blessed me with incredible in-laws, and yes we still like each other. It has been almost 5 months that we have been living here, time flies. Most of you know that we have been on a waiting list for housing. Most people would get housing faster then us, but most people don't have 2-4 legged children. So, we are only capable of living in one housing area. We have had a recent development that gives us a little better hope of getting in, we found out that the school had us on the wrong waiting list. They had us on the August list and we have been trying to get in for June. Bummer I know. We just got it fixed and so we are on the July list, hoping to hear something the 1st of June or close to it.
Josh has just registered for classes for the summer and the fall. This is really exciting because this is solidifying that we are really going. I am in the process of contacting some head-hunters in KY to get my job search started. It would be absolutely fabulous if I could have job ready when we arrived. I am still currently working at The Fresh Market part-time. I have recently tried to get a job at Starbucks for the extra hours and possible benefits, but nothing has come of it as of yet.
Other news, I am loving the new car we purchased. I just took it on it's first road trip to see my friend Jenny in SC. I had a really good time. I totally forgot my camera so I have no pictures. I know I stink. Here is one of my first visit after Caris was born. Caris is now almost a year and a half, I guess moms would say she is 15 weeks. I mention Jenny a few times in this post so now you can have an image of who she is.
Judy is away for the week in Hilton Head, so I guess I am the lady of the manor this week. I have some pretty big shoes to fill I guess you could say. Josh and I went to see Prince Caspian today after church too. It was really good. I love the stories. I tried to finish it before we went to see it, but was unsuccessful. I will finish it though so I get the full story. I cried a bunch, I know I am a big wimp.
Well, I don't want to make this too long that you won't read it.

One of my guilty pleasures shows is America's Funniest Videos. Any time its on I can watch it and be completely entertained. I saw this video on there and died laughing, but I kind of felt bad. What do you think? Don't you feel a little bad for this kid? But what's really funny is Janice laughing!!
And now a nice AFV Slingshot Montage...note the Grandma at the end.
I know that most of you that read this are of the female persuasion and don't care so much about sports. I, however, must post this video for the sake of coolness. I have been more interested in the NBA playoffs this year than usual. Partly b/c the Hawks are playing (although playing poorly). Mostly b/c the teams are awesome and there's not as much showboating as in the past. This video really has nothing to do with the playoffs but it features Kobe Bryant who plays for the Lakers and will probably win the championship. Heck, this video is probably not even real..but still, super cool.
This week will be 30 days out from graduation at SBTS. So, we are hoping to hear something soon to the tune of, "we have a open spot in housing for you." We had to make a decision about the summer session, if we didn't get into on-campus housing. The decision we made was that Josh would still go start classes in the summer, but would commute for them. Summer classes are only a week long. Josh will have to drive over for the week and just come home afterwards. This is kind of a bummer, but at least we will not be held up with school. Of course this could mean, even with waiting till August to get housing, that there still will be no openings. Well, if this happens we will throw our hands up in surrender and go get an apartment off campus. The excitement begins because from now until the first day of school we could get a phone call or email saying there is an opening, and we will hurry our stuff to KY. If you think about us please pray that we would get on-campus. We trust that if it doesn't happen than God has a plan for even that small of a detail.
With that said, The Fresh Market, has been playing with my position. They have gone from working me barely to working me full-time. Well, it figures when I get in a comfortable spot they have to change it, but this time not for the good. It seems they are going to hire a new full-time person, which will take the majority of my hours away. I have asked numerous times to be transferred to a different department, but they are reluctant because they know I am leaving soon. When they hire a new person, I am most likely going to need to look for a different job. I am in limbo because of the current status of our housing in KY. I am kind of all over the place. I really want to keep my resume intact for when I am job hunting in KY. I am not certain, but I think it doesn't look good when I have places of employment on my resume for only a few months at a time.
What are your thoughts?
I need some help in a new venture. Currently Josh and I have a traditional savings account. We have notice our interest rate falling drastically. I had heard and seen online that the online savings accounts have way better interest rates, but I have been a little hesitant to do it because I am afraid to transfer my money to a fake bank or something. If anybody has any experience with this please help.
