I just got off the phone with our friend Jenny Estepp and the crowd has already formed of 100 and has been formed for some time. We didn't think ahead that well I guess or realize that we would need to be there that early. Who knew the world loved chic-fil-a as much as us to camp out for a years worth of free stuff. Well, I have been informed that there will be another one in New Albany in March. I guess you could say better luck next time. I am crushed, now I will have to pay full price whenever we go. That obviously won't keep us away. We are super excited that they are putting one in closer to us. Josh was right when he said chic-fil-a is my super safe food for this trimester of pregnancy. Thinking about it now makes me want some, must stop talking about it.

Dealing with cravings on a budget is super hard. Especially when half the time nothing sounds good.

A few random thoughts...

Its snowing outside (again). I don't think it will snow for very long or accumulate very much, but here's the dilemma... Tonight, across from the St. Matthews Mall, a new Chic-Fil-A is opening. Actually it opens tomorrow morning. It will be managed by our good friends Darrell and Jenny Estep. Tomorrow morning the 1st 100 customers get free Chic-Fil-A for a year. That's right. Free goodness for a year. They say you must camp out to be one of the first because so many people desire the goodness. We desire the goodness too. One reason is because its one of the only foods that doesn't cause a barf-fest with the pregnant wife. Another reason is because we don't have much money and never eat out. So this will be a nice thing for us to have to boost quality of life - because Chic-Fil-A always boosts quality of life. So back to the dilemma...It's snowing outside and supposed to be really cold tonight and we don't have much cold gear. And did I mention Shana is pregnant? We do have Andy's (my bro) tent. I think we could do it, but it'll be a tough journey to gain the goodness.

I caught a bit of a radio commercial on the way to class this morning. It was sponsored by the Ad Council (like all public service commercials in Louisville). It was promoting an awareness to end underage drinking. Here was their pitch, "it's dangerous and can cause teenagers to use bad judgment." Right. I agree. Not to mention it is illegal. But here's the thing. How is it different for adults? More adults kill people because of alcohol related bad judgment and being dangerous than anything else. It just sounds like a bad argument that any teenager could turn around to the adult and say, "how is it different for you?" I guess being an adult either makes you immune to bad decisions when it comes to alcohol or makes it ok for you to make bad decisions when under the influence.

Ok, so as of right now we have 43 views on our blog today. Only one response to my Israel question - big thanks to Dr. Baise. I know that more of you must have an opinion on this....right?

oh - Shana's throwing up again right now.

I am going to start compiling a wish list of baby stuff. I would really like any feedback from anybody out there on your must haves and maybe things you have learned through your research of an item.

I am amazed at how God created the human body. It really has transformed my worship being pregnant. I have been pondering this. The first trimester is like the most important part of the pregnancy, this is when the baby is forming all those really important systems. I am amazed at how babies come out OK when I am fighting every bit to eat anything at all regardless if it is something that the baby needs. How great is our God!

I have lost 5 pounds in the past couple weeks being pregnant. Although I couldn't tell you where I lost it from. My tummy has already done its changing. My abs have softened up and it has gotten hard underneath. I equate it to a playground ball, with not much give to it. I feel like I have a little pudge too, but that could be my bad self-esteem kicking in. I am definitely blooming in other areas as well. All you pregos and former pregos know what I mean. So, all that to say I don't know where I am loosing it from. That only leaves my arms, butt, and legs.

Ok I tried to be as discrete as possible in this post, I sure hope I succeeded.

Here's a question I've been batting around for the past week or so. As a Christian should I support Israel simply because they're Israel? I am inclined to think not. However, I'm not convinced of this. I haven't had time to research the question properly. We refer to Israel as "the Holy Land." I understand why we do this. The major events of our faith took place there, although there is nothing intrinsically "holy" about the land. However, the land is different than the current governmental state that occupies that land. I think some of this bombing that Israel is responsible for is rather horrific. I know Hamas is a terrorist group, but Israel is bombing schools and other civilian targets. I'm pretty sure this isn't the same situation when God told the Israelites to destroy ALL of Jericho. I just don't see it in scripture where Israel should still be considered God's chosen nation. Again, I haven't done my homework on this and am not close-fisted about it. I know some of you out there must have an opinion on this. Leave a comment and let me know what you think. It would be greatly appreciated.

I just started my J-term class: History of the Baptists. I think its going to be a great class. However, I'm sitting next to Nalgene-guy (reference a past video for my opinion on guys like him), except now he's Gatorade guy. He nervously drinks his Gatorade over and over throughout class, unscrewing, gulping, closing, repeat. Over and over. He's also cell phone guy. He has his phone on vibrate yet has it on the table. Hence when he gets a text message, it's loud and obnoxious. C'mon Nalgene Cell Guy!

This Christmas Shana and I surprised my parents with the news that they will be grandparents for the first time. To pull this off we kept the news from them for over a month. We got them grandma and grandpa sweatshirts for Christmas and had them open them at the same time. Shana's dad was also there with his shirt to match. My mom's face is classic. Enjoy!

This video is amazing. My friend Scott showed it to me. Its a graphic of all of the air travel in one 24 hour period. Notice how much traffic picks up as the daylight moves over different areas and how it slows down when it gets dark. Each yellow dot is an airplane.
