Southern Visit

Posted by Shana Stringer

We are back from Kentucky. We had a really good time. It even snowed while we were up there. Josh and I are really excited to get the move on to KY. We were able to check out the tiny apartment we are on the waiting list for. Josh and I are going to try and live on campus for at least the first year. We think there might be cheaper options off campus, but think that the experience and relationships we might make would be worth it. Also, Josh is going for that M.Div, and we found out that I can take classes for 25% of the cost. So, right now you could say we are pondering and praying about me going to seminary too. Obviously I would not be going for the M.Div, but a MASE which is a lot less hours. We figured out that I would just need to take about 5 classes a year to graduate in 4 years, which is probably when Josh will be done (plus or minus). I am really excited about all the opportunities God has for us ahead. I took a few pictures of the campus. The one above is the chapel. If anybody reading this knows of any really good resources for the Louisville area, please comment them. We would love any housing and job resources for that area (in case we don't get the housing we are waiting for especially). Also, any scholarships or financial aid programs. Thanks so much. We will continue to keep you posted.

Zoe

Isn't my baby girl adorable. Look how big she is. This is her chilling on our bed this evening. She is so adorable some times. Look how big her tongue is here.

How cute is this?

Her puppy eyes really do get to me.

This is probably why I say I don't want girls, I know I am going to be a softy on them. Bogie, my boy, firm as can be.

Grand Pups

(the shiny little ball is one of Bogie's eyes)

As you can see the grand pups are making themselves at home too here at Dean and Judy's. I am pretty sure that Bogie is ranked the favorite, as you can see.

Hodge Podge..

I am finally getting back to my blogging days. Sorry for the absence for so long. I want to try and post videos on here next. Josh has a video camera and we are charging it as I type this. So, hopefully soon I will have a good video up and running. We'll see how that goes.

I said a while back that I was going to post some pictures of our corner here at Dean and Judy's house. Well, I took one this afternoon of Josh's favorite place to be on a Sunday afternoon of relaxing. Can you guess what he is doing? This is a picture of the sitting area part of our bedroom.
Well, everybody knows by now we had some snow last month. I got a few pictures and have been meaning to put them on here. Our camera isn't that great so our pictures aren't that great, but hey I guess it is better than nothing right.

Here is a picture of some sweet flowers that Josh got me Saturday. I know what some of you are thinking, he forgot Valentine's day. He didn't, in fact, he made me breakfast in bed for Valentine's day. It was really sweet. He made heart shaped pancakes, with some of my favorite breakfast foods. These flowers were a just because gesture, I like those. They are really pretty.

Last thing, Josh and I are headed to KY next weekend. We are super excited. We'll let you know how all that goes.

Gosh it has been forever..

Posted by Shana Stringer

It has been a while since I posted I know. I don't know what it is about me lately. I just don't seem to be on the computer much anymore and I guess that lends me to not blog as much. I haven't even got to update myself of my friends blogs, so when I go and read them I have a ton to read. I don't know how long ago I was tagged for telling 10 things about myself. So, I am going to have to think some up, but I have no clue if there is anybody left that I can tag when I am done. It seems I have taken forever to read the blogs that all the people I know on blog are already taken, stinker.

Here is an update on Josh and I. We are on our way to Kentucky. We are going the end of this month to do a campus visit and figure out what we want to do for housing. I realize I haven't posted any new picture lately either, but I haven't really taken any. This is another bummer. I need to be taking more picture.

Ok, well I will get on the 10 things thinking and get back sooner then later hopefully. If you have been to my blog lately and are highly disappointed that I haven't posted anything I am really sorry. You can read some of my friends blogs. Well, I hope I am back soon. CHAU!

House Sold

Posted by Shana Stringer

Super exciting news. Josh and I have sold our house. It was a lot of back and forth negotiating, but it is finally under contract with a speedy date for closing, Jan 31st, YIKES! We are super excited about this, and praise the Lord for every step of the way. This means we are definitly on track for Seminary this summer. I am super excited about the transition. We will be planning a visit shortly to make housing arrangement in KY. This weekend we are having a Moving Party. Anybody who wants to help should show up around 9am at the townhouse. Most of the work is heavy furniture moving. We will then take it all up to Dean and Judy's to unload. There we will serve a complimentary meal for everybodys hard work in helping us get this move done. So far I know Chris, Zach, Andy, Scott, Lauren, and Caitlyn will be there. If anybody else plans on coming please let me know. Can't wait to see you Saturday.

Been a while....

Posted by Shana Stringer

I know it has been a while since Josh or I have posted anything. I guess you could say our life has been a little hectic. Seems lately all Josh and I do lately is work. You know the Fresh Market duo. :) Well, we decided to move out of our townhouse and move in with Dean and Judy (Josh's parents). It was getting really hard to keep our house in show condition, especially with the puppies. So, now it is top notch 24/7. Some might think that moving in with the in-laws would be a huge headache, but I have to say it is nothing but the opposite. I have gotten some strange looks and comments when telling people, who don't know Josh's parent, that we are moving in with them. So far, absolutely blissful. I lived with Dean and Judy a month or two before Josh and I were married, and it was blissful then. I am so blessed to have great in-laws. There are some crazy stories I have heard as a semi-newlywed about in-laws. I hear that is one of the top 5 topics couples argue about. Josh and I definitely don't have that problem. God greatly blessed me with Dean and Judy. Well, right now I am in my bedroom (at Dean and Judy's) getting ready for bed. I will have to post come pictures of our place.

It also snowed today, a lot. It was awesome. I took a few pictures but they were terrible. I will try again in the morning and hopefully post something new.

Towner Visit

Posted by Shana Stringer

I know I am way behind with my posts. I apologize. It has been kind of crazy, and the last thing I have wanted to do was sit on the computer for an hour.

Well, this month I got the chance to go visit a good friend of mine. I know I have mentioned her a few times in passing and on my blog. Me and Jenny go way back. Her daughter is getting so big. Here are a few pictures of my visit. I had such a good time visiting, it was way to short.

They are so fun to hang out with. Here is a short story from my visit. Matthew is Jenny's husband. He is a male nurse. Well, I am a big fan of the show Grey's Anatomy. So, during this past visit I asked all kinds of medical questions according to that show. Grey's Anatomy is known for couples shacking up in the storage closets, so you know I asked him if he has ever caught anybody shacking up in the closets; he says no. My last visit I asked Matthew questions that came from the show House. He thinks I am crazy, but it is fun to play around. Matthew has a great sense of humor.
